The Vice President of Culinary, Dining Experience and Procurement Logistics leverages strong vendor partnerships and volume purchasing to obtain quality and reasonably priced products and services. The Vice President of Culinary, Dining Experience and Procurement Logistics manages large scale business partner relationships. The Vice President of Culinary, Dining Experience and Procurement Logistics also has primary responsibility in the company for overseeing both the procurement and purchasing process as well as the identification of viable vendors.   Principal Duties/Responsibilities:   Dining Experience Primarily responsible for overseeing the resident dining experience and strategy across the Company, and for keeping apprised of internal and external events, trends and other circumstances that may prompt a change in strategy. Works with other corporate functions to develop an overall customer satisfaction strategy for the dining experience across the Company. Responsible for tracking and trending key satisfaction data across the organization as it relates to the dining experience and analyzing that data for global trends; form action plans for responses to such trends and work with applicable teams at the company to oversee execution. Works with business units to help identify and assess risks. Provides educational sessions to appropriate areas within the company on dining services program and regulatory compliance. Prepares changes to policies and procedures as necessary to support company initiatives and compliance. Maintains familiarity with evolving resident satisfaction strategies in our industry and across industries by participating in seminars and industry trade groups reviewing relevant materials to ensure that the Company is well positioned.   Procurement Logistics Continuously evaluates contracts and vendor services to ensure quality and competitive pricing. Conducts cost/benefit analysis of current programs and processes to ensure quality, compliance, and pricing. Oversee group purchasing, foster and maintain positive vendor relationships.   People Management Oversee the work of the Procurement Manager and two Regional Dining Services Directors Sets clear expectations and performance goals and ensures accountability. Effectively develops talent through training, mentorship, and leadership. Participate in recruitment of dining and procurement talent at all levels of the organization. Manages employee performance using performance reviews, regular meetings, and progressive discipline as appropriate. Encourages and inspires teams to achieve a high level of success. Create an inclusive work environment.   Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification: BA/BS degree in culinary or hospitality management, business, operations or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience 10 years’ experience in hospitality management Experience in senior living environments preferred. Servsafe certification preferred.   Required Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to balance customer needs with business goals in developing solutions. Executive-level visioning, strategic development, and influencing skills and experience. Ability to excel as both a team leader and an individual contributor. Ability to drive creative new approaches. Ability to interact with senior level management combined with strong communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
