Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Compensation Management:
- Oversee the administration of salary structures, job evaluations and market benchmarking.
- Ensure the company’s compensation strategies are competitive within the industry and geographic area.
- Monitor and ensure equitable pay practices across the organization.
- Benefits Program Oversight:
- Manage and communicate employee benefits offerings, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs and paid time off.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the benefits packages meet employee needs and are compliant with regulations.
- Review and optimize benefits plans to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Incentive and Recognition Programs:
- Design and manage employee incentive programs, bonuses and recognition awards that align with company goals and performance metrics.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote employee recognition, engagement and motivation.
- Ensure the programs are effectively communicated and understood across the organization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze compensation and benefits data, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on program effectiveness, budget management, and employee feedback.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure all total rewards programs comply with federal, state, and local laws, including tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on compensation and benefits trends, compliance changes and industry best practices.
- Employee Communication and Education:
- Develop and deliver clear communication regarding total rewards programs, ensuring employees understand available benefits and incentives.
- Provide training to managers and employees regarding compensation, benefits and incentive programs.
- People Leadership:
- Mentor and motivate a team of Total Rewards Specialists.
- Assign and delegate tasks effectively to ensure the Total Rewards team meets deadlines and offers exceptional customer service to BSL associates.
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and job experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Benefits, Compensation or Total Rewards.
- Attention to detail and ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential information.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel required.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, laws, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and system skills.
- Experience with Dayforce, a plus.
