Responsibilities
- Addresses resident concerns or any problem with service immediately.
- Accounts for all residents at meals, reporting residents who do not attend to the RCD.
- Ensures all room service meals are delivered to residents’ apartments and picked up after meals.
- Monitors the dining room during mealtimes to ensure proper service.
- Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
- Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
- Follows safety regulations and precautions.
- Follows established Infection Control procedures when performing daily tasks.
- Ensures that all food service areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous dining room and server experience.
- CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Must be able to interact effectively with residents and staff
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
