The Commons in Lincoln, a premier CCRC campus within Benchmark, is looking for an experienced, full-time Executive Chef to join our Independent Living team! As a leader in Dining, your main role will be to ensure that quality meals are consistently provided to our residents. You will be part of a team of dedicated, like-minded individuals whose support and camaraderie build community, and where long-lasting relationships with both associates and residents await.

Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all back-of-the-house activity including food procurement, production and food presentation.
- Meet or exceed food services standards, budgetary requirements and manage kitchen operations.
- Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, train and inspire the culinary staff to consistently produce a high-quality product matched with exceptional presentation.
- Education – High School diploma and culinary school degree or equivalent certificate preferred
- Five (5) years of experience in a Sous Chef or equivalent role
- Demonstrated interest in the elderly and knowledgeable about servicing their needs in a culinary setting
- Have demonstrated back-of-the-house leadership experience
- Possess excellent communication skills, bi-lingual preferred
- Current ServSafe certificate or equivalent
