The Kennedy Space Center is currently recruiting for a Messenger Driver. Individuals with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply.

General Responsibilities: Participates in the daily processing of first-class mail and standard mail and packages from the USPS, FEDEX and UPS.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• X-rays all incoming mail and visually inspects for any suspicious mail.
• Sort incoming mail to all locations of Kennedy Space Center.
• Deliver mail to all locations of Kennedy Space Center in a safe manner.
• Apply postage to outgoing mail via stamps.com, UPS campus ship or FedEx.com.
• Follow all rules and regulations in accordance with NASA, Benchmark human services and Kennedy Space Center.
• Keep current with mail code changes.
• Report to work as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Possess a high degree of honesty and be trustworthy.
• Ability to work well with others and support the team efforts.
• Ability to serve customers with a professional and polite attitude.
• Must present a professional appearance at all times.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• High school diploma/GED
• Never convicted of crimes involving theft.
• Never removed for cause from work in a postal, mail, or other communications activity.
• Able to lift 11 lbs.
