Lunch Cashier

Benchmark Food Group cashiers are the face of the meal service line, keeping meal periods running smoothly for students and supporting the kitchen team behind the scenes. Daytime hours, consistent schedule, M - F

Responsibilities

• Ring up and charge students accurately during breakfast and lunch meal periods
• Stock and rotate inventory in the service area and storage
• Help receive, check in, and put away truck deliveries
• Keep the cashier station and service area clean, sanitized, and organized
• Assist kitchen staff with prep, service, or cleanup as needed
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and a point-of-sale system
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Friendly, patient demeanor with students and staff
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to [25–40] lbs
• Willing to pitch in on a variety of tasks
• [Must be 18 or older]
• Must pass a background check [and drug screen] prior to hire

Preferred (Not Required)

• Cashier, retail, or food service experience
• Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
