Job Overview
We are seeking a part time skilled Mechanic to join our team. Job is currently Part time, but could be a full time position, can discuss at interview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems (gas, diesel, electrical & hydraulics) and a keen eye for detail. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trucks, skid steers, machinery, small tools and equipment. Working in a shop environment & out in the field on a job site is also a possibility as machinery breaks down. ASE Cert. a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, and other critical components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks
  • Performing scheduled maintenance like oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid level checks, and battery inspections
  • Fixing or replacing worn or damaged components, such as brakes, sensors, and engine parts, to restore vehicle functionality.
  • Tuning engines, repairing and adjusting fuel injection systems, and performing work on transmissions and clutches.
  • Diagnosing and repairing issues within the vehicle's electrical system, including components controlled by computers and sensors.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Ability to work in a shop and on a construction job site.

Skills

  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, balancing, and working in various positions.
  • Having own diagnostic tools a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
