UNIT MANAGER
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Pay: Non-exempt hourly rate of pay shift differentials
Position Summary: Unit Managers are responsible for monitoring and supervising staff and residents to ensure the floor staff deliver care to the residents appropriately and safely in accordance with the Resident's Handbook and unit schedule and guidelines.
To be a successful Unit Manager you should have a track record of working well within a team, display excellent appropriate interventions with residents and possess skills to build quality relationships with the team and other Benchmark staff. Must be goal driven and capable of managing the day-to-day activities of a responsible leader. You will be expected to manage staff issues, provide training and performance improvement plans and/or disciplinary measures.
Position Skills:
- Ability to train, lead, mentor and coach all assigned floor staff
- Capable of building and leading a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to facilitate team direction
- Flexibility to work with other Unit Managers to provide consistent application of the unit rules and schedule
- Be capable of attending all unit and facility team meetings
- Understands the level system, matrix and resident handbook rules and protocols
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred OR 2 years direct care experience and a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated history of meeting attendance expectations
- Must not have any active disciplinary action or corrective action plans
- Current First Aid/CPR and Handle With Care certifications
