About Us:
At Ben’s Toy Chest, we specialize in rare and hard-to-find vintage toys and collectibles. Our inventory includes Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Indiana Jones, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, and more—from graded and ungraded items to sealed and unsealed collectibles, playsets, and one-of-a-kind finds. If you can name it, we probably have it!
We host weekly live online auctions, including:
- “Ben’s Lunch Box” every Wednesday from 12–3 PM (Eastern)
- "Sunday Burner" from 6–9 PM (Eastern)
We buy and sell collectibles worldwide, travel to acquire entire collections, and regularly attend comic conventions and toy shows across the country.
Job Description:
We’re looking for a passionate, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with rare collectibles and be part of a fast-moving, collector-focused business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and value vintage toys and collectibles
- Create engaging product listings for eBay and other platforms
- Photograph items to highlight condition and authenticity
- Assist with packing and shipping, including high-value items
- Help prepare and support live online auctions
- Communicate with customers and collectors
- Assist with sourcing inventory and organizing collections
Requirements:
- Interest in vintage toys and pop culture collectibles
- Strong attention to detail (condition, packaging, authenticity)
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn online selling platforms
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with live selling or online auctions
- Familiarity with collectible grading
- Knowledge of major toy lines (Star Wars, G.I. Joe, etc.)
- Experience with eBay, Etsy, or similar platforms
