Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, trimming trees, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as digging, planting, and installing landscape features.
- Use equipment like excavators and other construction machinery to assist with site preparation, grading, or hardscape installation.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules..
- Conduct routine landscape inspections to identify areas needing attention or repair and perform necessary maintenance or coordinate with specialists like arborists for tree care or trimming.
- Support gardening activities by planting new flora, mulching beds, fertilizing plants, and ensuring overall landscape health.
Qualifications
- Must have valid drivers license and know how to maneuver trailers.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers and excavators.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, edging and fertilizing.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques for gardens, trees (including trimming), hardscape features, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent physical stamina for manual labor tasks like digging, lifting heavy materials, or operating machinery.
