Tours Hospitality Team Member
What we are looking for: Enthusiastic individuals to work alongside a large team within the Hospitality department, which includes our Gift Shop, Scoop Shop and Tour operations. Must be excited to give guided Factory tours, provide excellent customer service and outstanding brand experiences at Ben & Jerry’s original factory location and the top tourist destination in Vermont. We are looking for individuals who have a strong passion for storytelling, sharing and presenting information to the public. This role also requires working our parking lots to support traffic flow in our busy fall season. All training is provided on site.
Availability: Availability for 20-40 hours a week (minimum of 3 shifts/week). Must be available to work evenings, holidays and at least one weekend day/week. Temporary 120 day assignment. Potential to extend employment.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age, or older.
- Enthusiasm for working with the public in a busy and fast-paced setting.
-Able to learn the Tour Script with 1:1 training and comfortable leading 30-minute guided tours for groups of 30 guests.
- Outgoing, positive, friendly, and enthusiastic personality.
-Strong representative and passion for the Ben & Jerry’s brand.
-Enjoy working collaboratively with a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
-Must be able to scoop ice cream and stand up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able and willing to work outside in Vermont weather conditions.
- Ability to work in traffic/parking areas of the operation.
-Customer service experience and ability to take initiative in customer interactions.
- An awareness of food safety and cleanliness.
-Experience with public speaking.
- Time management skills and reliable attendance.
- Efficient with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain basic safety response initiatives in the event of an emergency.
-Comfort handling cash and operating POS systems is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to adhere to General Manufacturing Protocols (GMP) in restricted areas.
- Willingness to adhere to unique safety protocols specific to the Waterbury factory location.
- Willingness to assist guests and communicate exit strategy in case of an evacuation event.
Pay: $21.62 per hour
