Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a School Psychologist located in NW & West Harris County, TX. The School Psychologist will conduct psychological assessments, collaborate with educators and parents to support student development, and provide counseling and mental health services. The role also involves designing and implementing intervention plans, supporting special education compliance, and contributing to multidisciplinary teams working to address the holistic needs of students. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring academic success and emotional well-being for students.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Psychological Assessment, including conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and interpreting results.
- Knowledge in Psychology and Medicine as it pertains to developmental, behavioral, and emotional challenges in children and adolescents.
- Experience in Counseling and addressing Mental Health needs for diverse populations.
- Strong understanding of educational interventions and special education compliance processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field; valid licensure (e.g., LSSP or equivalent) in the state of Texas.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site and provide hands-on support to students and staff.
- Experience in crisis intervention and evidence-based therapeutic practices is a plus.
