Ben Dinkins Landscape Design (BDLD) is a high-end landscape design and build firm specializing in custom residential landscapes throughout Northeast Florida. Our projects are design-driven, highly detailed, and often associated with multimillion-dollar custom homes.
We are looking for a Part-Time Landscape Design Draftsman / Project Manager to join our team and assist with the development and management of high-end residential landscape projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong design eye, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for creating beautiful, thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working between design, drafting, 3D visualization, and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings for planting, hardscape, grading, and landscape plans
- Create and modify SketchUp 3D models for residential landscape projects
- Produce high-quality Lumion renderings and 3D presentations
- Translate design concepts and sketches into polished, accurate construction documents
- Assist with planting plans, hardscape layouts, material selections, and overall landscape design development
- Coordinate drawings and design information with project managers, designers, contractors, and clients
- Assist with project management and coordination throughout the design and installation process
- Review plans for accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
- Help maintain project schedules, drawings, revisions, and other project documentation
- Occasionally assist with site visits and field measurements
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with SketchUp
- Experience with Lumion or similar 3D rendering software
- Strong understanding of landscape design, planting design, and hardscape layout
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong visual/design sense and an understanding of proportion, scale, materials, and composition
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and landscape plans
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Landscape architecture, landscape design, architecture, or related education/experience preferred
Pay: From $32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
