Drafting Technician

Bemo USA is looking for a CAD Technician with 2 years of experience who is passionate about their craft, eager to expand their skills, and excited to grow long-term with our team. As a team member, you will contribute to innovative, architecturally advanced projects while developing your professional career through the design and layout of our roofing and wall systems, as well as other product lines. In this role, you will develop detailed 2D drawings in CAD software to create detailed shop and fabrication drawings based on specifications from engineers and architects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Create or modify 2D details according to architectural plans, engineering updates, & sales requests.
• Compile drawing packages for submittal, shop fabrication and field installation.
• Calculation of material quantities and release of materials for fabrication by our manufacturing facility.
• Assist in maintaining organization of shared folders.
• Positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm for our Company, employees, and products.
• Various CAD/project support tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Office software (Word, Excel Outlook) - required
• Experience reading and interpreting construction/architectural/structural drawings
• Understanding building construction and experience in construction drafting required
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, project managers, and installers on projects
• Professional image and attitude including punctuality
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, self-motivated, and works well in a fast-paced team environment
• Experience in drafting/design for commercial/industrial roofing and/or metal claddings projects, a plus
• Experience in production of fabrication drawings, a plus
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple complex designs, a plus

SKILLS

• 2 years’ experience in CAD
• Experience in Rhino and Grasshopper, a plus but not required
• Drafting certificate/degree, a plus
• High School Diploma, required
• Strict attention to detail
• Effective organization
• Ability and work with tight deadlines
• Good math skills
