Brewery & Position Overview
Bemidji Brewing is a taproom and production brewery located in the great northwoods of Minnesota. As a Taptender at Bemidji Brewing Company you will interact and educate the Taproom patrons about Bemidji Brewing’s current beer offerings, and cultivate a warm, inviting and fun atmosphere. Being a customer service position, you will be constantly interacting with the public who will have a varying knowledge about craft beer and Bemidji Brewing. The ability to excel in an often high stress and fast paced environment while maintaining your cool is absolutely necessary.
Responsibilities
- Educate patrons on beers available in the Taproom and assist patrons in choosing their beer
- Execute properly poured beer from the tapline and complete delivery to taproom patron
- Welcome and interact with all patrons throughout the duration of their visit to the Taproom
- Maintain a clean taproom/brewery, before opening, while open and following closing
- Maintain professionalism in stressful situations
- Communicate in a clear and understandable way to customers with various levels of craft beer knowledge
- Maintain flow of Taproom throughout open hours including completing dishes, maintaining glassware, serving customers, and keeping Taproom and restrooms clean
- Assist in Merchandise re-stocking
- Assist in Taproom till management
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a passion for beer
- Valid Driver's License
- Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings, often on Monday evenings
- Work evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented and motivated
- Outgoing and assertive
- Basic knowledge of Craft Beer
- Able to stand for the duration of each shift
- Able to lift 50lbs

Pay: From $11.47 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 25 per week
