Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Church Instructor to inspire and nurture the spiritual growth of young children within our faith-based community. Duties

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate religious lessons that align with the church’s spiritual curriculum and teachings.
• Create engaging activities, stories, and crafts that reinforce biblical principles and foster spiritual curiosity.
• Supervise children during church services, events, and special programs to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful environment that encourages participation, questions, and personal growth.
• Collaborate with church leadership, youth ministry teams, and volunteers to coordinate programs and special events for children.
• Mentor children through one-on-one support, mentoring relationships, and guidance rooted in Christian values.
• Assist with volunteer management by recruiting, training, and supporting other volunteers involved in children’s programs.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in religious or educational settings; experience in religious organization childcare is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Christian teachings, pastoral theology, and religious studies suitable for young learners.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage children, parents, volunteers, and church staff.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a passion for youth engagement within a faith-based context.
• Ability to plan events, develop curriculum content, and manage group activities confidently.
• Compassionate demeanor with skills in mentoring, social work principles, or Christian counseling to support children’s emotional needs.
• Experience working as a clergyperson or in youth ministry roles is advantageous; familiarity with nonprofit faith-based organizations is a plus.
