Service Manager

Bemana is seeking a Service Manager in greater New Orleans for a premier distributor of commercial laundry and dry cleaning equipment. With over 70 years of regional success, the company provides equipment sales, installation, service, and parts.

The Service Manager leads and optimizes territory service operations, driving revenue by maximizing technician utilization, profitability, and recurring service growth. Balancing emergency response with proactive scheduling, team development, and customer management.

Position Offers:

Key Responsibilities:

• Technician Dispatch & Utilization: Lead the dispatcher to optimize schedules, routes (via NetSuite FSM), and technician utilization to maximize billable time and target margins.
• Preventative Maintenance & Revenue Growth: Manage, renew, and expand PM contracts with existing clients while collaborating with Sales/Project Management to bundle PMs with new equipment.
• Workforce Development: Onboard, evaluate, and mentor technicians using our client's Career Development Plan to drive retention and internal promotions.
• Operational Oversight: Supervise dispatch and office support staff, manage ERP/NetSuite data accuracy, and oversee local warehouse operations (inventory, installation prep, receiving) to optimize cash flow.
• Customer Retention & Market Presence: Conduct client visits to assess needs, expand market share, protect against competitors, and champion our client's service capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with proven leadership in field service operations preferred.
• Strong grasp of mechanical/electrical concepts; experience with ERP/Field Service Management software (NetSuite preferred).
• Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, optimizing team performance, and nurturing client relationships.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
