What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buildings Specialist position at Belvidere Park District?
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Buildings Foreman, the Buildings Specialist position is responsible for administering and performing all aspects of buildings maintenance for the Belvidere Park District. Essential job duties include:
- Providing maintenance care for the Districts parks and facilities
- Assist with snow removal and garbage pickup.
- Train new staff to ensure that the parks are clean and safe for all visitors.
- Assure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in working order.
- Follows District procedures and policies
- Performs other work-related functions as assigned
Qualifications
Staff must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a basic knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Concrete and Carpentry Skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- First Aid, CPR and AED certified within 60 days of employment
- Must be able to perform moderately physically intense work with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Knowledge preferred with operating equipment.
- Be able to work scheduled shifts
Scheduling & Pay
This position is a full-time year-round position. Schedules will be Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm. However, a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend hours may be required when the need exists.
The pay range is $16.55-$24.54 an hour.
