Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety and chemical handling protocols.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies safely with proper manual handling techniques.
- Restock amenities, linens, and supplies to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Maintain sanitation standards through regular cleaning schedules and detailed documentation of cleaning activities.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is advantageous.
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and other janitorial tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of hotel safety protocols.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Prior experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping roles will help you excel in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
