Job Summary
The R&D Engineer will be responsible for interpreting the customer's need and designing equipment, tooling, and materials to deliver Timing Belt product. This role requires a creative problem solver with strong leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Understand timing belt application and mechanical drawings to deliver equipment, tooling, and material design. Effectively communicate plans to machine shop and production.
- Identify process improvement projects and engineer solutions.
- Design production equipment, tooling, and processes in partnership with production.
- Support Production with an interactive, hands-on approach.
- Manage projects throughout their lifecycles.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture with emphasis on safety, automation, and best in the industry solutions and technology.
- Support Lean implementation by working with production employees and managers on all levels.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience or ability to learn Chemical Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in production support.
- 3 years of experience in Mechatronic Design and 3D modelling. Solidworks experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Project Management, problem solver, creative thinker, self-motivated.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, with customers, sales, and production.
- Belting knowledge not required, but a plus.
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
