Job Summary And Qualifications
As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.
Belton Regional Medical Center is an 80 bed acute care facility. We are located in Belton and serve southern Jackson and northern Cass counties. We are one of 10 HCA Healthcare Midwest Health System hospitals in Kansas City. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. Our services are supported by our excellent colleagues, advanced technology, and deep relationships within the community. Over the past decade, our hospital underwent a $39.2 million dollar renovation and expansion project. This project has enabled us to meet the growing medical needs of our community. Our hospital is equipped with a beautiful memorial garden, patient advocates, and private rooms. Job Summary And Qualifications
As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.
- Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
- Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
- Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
- Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
- Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate
- One Year of Hospital Experience within an ICU or Critical Care Unit
- Phlebotomy Skills
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- High School Graduate / GED
