Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being.
- Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands.
- Follow care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring all procedures are accurately executed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, client progress, and any incidents or observations.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams to coordinate ongoing care needs.
Requirements
- Prior experience in home caregiving or related healthcare roles is preferred; experience with diverse populations is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical care practices and familiarity with managing clients with chronic conditions or post-acute needs.
- Experience working in hospital settings such as Level I Trauma Centers, Level II trauma centers, or teaching hospitals is advantageous.
- Background in emergency medicine or hospital medicine enhances ability to respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Familiarity with specialized care environments including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), outpatient clinics, sub-acute care facilities, or inpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
