Reports To: President of Studer Entertainment & Retail

Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) of the Beloit Sky Carp will oversee many aspects of the team’s business operations. The GM will work closely with front office and ownership to ensure the team remains competitive, profitable, and well-integrated within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Oversee daily operations of the team’s business and administrative functions.

·         Ensure coordination between the front office and support teams to achieve organizational goals.

·         Develop and manage the team’s budget, including revenue generation, expenses, and cost control.

·         Work with ownership to set and track financial targets, ensuring the team meets organizational goals.

·         Oversee various departments in the front office, including the box office, marketing, group sales, community relations, and corporate sales.

·         Hire, supervise, and evaluate front office staff in the box office, marketing, group sales, community relations, and corporate sales.

·         Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize performance and team morale.

·         Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, sponsors, media, and fans.

·         Work with the ownership group to support charitable endeavors and community engagement initiatives.

·         Collaborate with ownership to develop long-term strategic goals for the team, including stadium improvements, fan engagement, and business operations.

·         Assess the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for growth.

·         Lead efforts to enhance the team’s presence and performance within the league.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sports management, or a related field. 

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in sports management, with at least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in professional sports or minor league baseball.

·         Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and revenue generation.

·         Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team across various departments.

·         Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

·         Passion for building a strong, sustainable team culture.

·         Occasional travel required to attend league meetings and educational events.

·         Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
