What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Assistant or Associate Professor of Education and Youth Studies/Director of Teacher Education position at Beloit College?
The Department of Education and Youth Studies at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, invites applications for a full-time (11-month) Adjunct Assistant or Associate Professor of Education and Youth Studies/Director of Teacher Education position beginning prior to the Fall semester of 2024. This long-term faculty/administrative staff hybrid position requires teaching 4 to 5 courses per year as needed by the program, advising students, and placing and supervising student teachers. This position also supports the department's ongoing maintenance and the renewing of its teaching licensure program with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and strengthens the department's partnerships with other campus organizations and regional partners such as the local school districts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Masters in Education; Ph.D., or Ed.D. preferred.
- At least three years teaching experience in U.S.-based K-12 schools.
- Extensive community-based work with diverse groups preferred.
- Prior experience meeting Wisconsin DPI-related requirements and mandates preferred.
