Utility Systems Operator (USO)
Reports to: Mill Engineer Location: Boiler Room
Regular Work Schedule: Rotating shifts:
(A) shift is 7AM - 3PM
(B) shift is 3PM - 11PM
(C) shift is 11PM - 7AM
The Opportunity:
The team member will be responsible for operation of mill utility systems.
Primary responsibilities for your role will include performing start up, shutdown, clean up, and maintaining daily operation of the boiler and all boiler related systems.

Someone with a proven record of performance, attendance, and attention to detail; has demonstrated the drive to achieve and move up in previous jobs; initiates his/her own learning; gets along well with others; is helpful; can handle the physical requirements (heat, noise, shift work 8's and 12's, can work inside, outside, etc.) and has the mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly.
What you need to succeed:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. ** Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Availability to work all 3 rotating shifts (days, swing, and grave) including weekends and holidays.
- ** Lift 50 lbs. frequently over an 8 to 12 hour shift. ** Work standing on feet over an 8 to 12 hour work shift. **
