About The Role
As a Medication Technician at Belmont Village Aventura, you will assist residents living in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community with their daily medications, monitor their responses and maintain accurate electronic medical records under the supervision of a licensed Nurse. As a Med Tech, you will support our licensed nurses with administrative tasks as needed. The Med Tech position is an excellent role for candidates who aspire to someday be a licensed nurse. The ideal Medication Technician candidate is reliable, takes initiative, and is detail oriented. About The Role

Your Typical Responsibilities
- Administer Medications and Provide Personal Care: Follow physician's orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
- Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
- Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
- Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver or Medication Technician in a licensed community or residential care facility
- C.N.A. License in states where required
- Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required
- Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Intermediate computer and mobile device skills - please note company provided computers and hand held devices are frequently used in this position
- Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
