Must be able to work weekends & holidays as scheduled.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will perform multi-functional duties related to food preparation, set-up, service and clean-up in our senior living community commercial kitchen. The Line Cook helps to maintain a high quality of food preparation and presentation using company recipes to ensure an excellent dining experience for residents and their guests. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentationProperly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneouslyMaintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and proceduresFollow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all timesMake hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interactionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentProfessional, pleasant and team oriented attitudeMust be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written EnglishMinimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant settingProven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methodsAbility to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededConsistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the communityAll offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test.
