Ice Cream Scooper at Sweet Shoppe

Sweet Shoppe is serving up everything from homemade fudge to caramel apples, ice cream cones, cotton candy, frozen bananas and more. Our guest indulge their taste buds with delicious treats that will make their day at the park even sweeter!

Here are some duties required by all employees:

• Must be extremely friendly and outgoing - engaging with customers is a must.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Scoop delicious ice cream with precision, make milkshakes, sundaes, cookie sandwiches, and fill pints.
• Assisting with the preparation of ice cream bowls and cones as needed.
• Stock inventory and give feedback on the quality standards of the inventory.
• Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations, damages, and potential safety hazard.
• Maintain high standard and consistency of ice cream and presentation, ensuring that each bite represents the flavor our guest is desiring.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of nutrition, common allergies, dietary restrictions, and food terminology
• Maintain a daily bank, entering sales in cash register, taking money, counting out correct change (coins/bills), giving change (coins/bills) to guest, and completing credit card transactions.
• Maintain and clean all retail area including stock room, floors, cash register/check out area and equipment.

Scooper Qualifications:
Experience is a PLUS, but we are proud to be a first-job employer!

• 16 years or older
• Open availability especially during the evenings, weekends & holidays
• Have the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in close proximity to others
• Have a Current Food Handler’s card (You can acquire this after you receive a job offer)
• Demonstrates strong leadership and teamwork skills and abilities
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand/walk up to eight hours at a time.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling, stooping and shoving, and bending.
• Able to work outdoors may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions such as rain, cold temperatures, direct sunlight high heat, and humidity.
