Grade 6 Social Studies - Belmont Middle School

Shaker Regional School District serves the communities of Belmont and Canterbury, New Hampshire Belmont Middle School serves students from Grades 5 - 8 and is seeking a dynamic Social Studies Teacher to join the middle level 6th grade team for the 2026-2027 school year. Duties & Responsibilities: Creates written instructional objectives for the course and for units in the course. Establish appropriate instructional goals and objectives for the class that are consistent with the school curriculum. Correlate learning activities with instructional objectives. Effectively integrate appropriate technology. Prepare and maintain written plans and modifies them as necessary. Implement a behavior management program for students, assist students in learning and demonstrating responsible behavior. Respect confidentiality. Submit progress reports on each student in the formal education program with recommendations as to further development. Review and purchase appropriate instructional materials to meet individual needs to support curriculum. Utilize homework as a tool for the reinforcement of classroom instruction. Supervise or assist in field trips, recreational and other extra curricular programs for the benefit of the students. Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations and School Board Policies. Attend staff meetings and contribute to school committee and work groups. Perform related duties as assigned.
