What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seafood Department Clerk position at Belmont Market?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with seafood selections.
Maintain fish cases to health and safety standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Receiving deliveries and putting merchandise away in the proper freezers and/or coolers.
Knife skills are a must as this position requires custom cutting, cleaning, and preparing seafood to customer specifications .
Some knowledge of seafood is preferred; however, we will train the right individual who is willing to learn about our products.
Ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work weekends, holiday and nights.
Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the job (standing for extended periods of time, carrying, and lifting product).
ServSafe certified preferred (not required)
