What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Department Clerk position at Belmont Market?
Belmont Market is currently looking to hire part-time clerks for the meat department. Applicants must be available to work days/evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled. Candidates will be expected to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance, adhere to company dress code, maintain a clean and safe work-space environment, be able to endure medium to high levels of physical exertion, have knowledge of equipment operation and possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to greet customers in a cordial, friendly and prompt fashion is a must. Candidates must be able to answer product related questions, take orders, select, weigh, price and wrap products to satisfy customer requests. Knowledge of counter presentation and product merchandising is a key aspect of the position. Clerks are expected to adhere to all health and civil code regulations. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right individuals. Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Friday and Saturday availability is a requirement.
