Job Summary
Registered Nurse would be creating care plans, doing initial and ongoing assessments, administering medication, attending to medical needs such as dressing changes, checking blood pressures, and so on. You would be communicating with family members/caregivers, completing state required documentation, and generally interacting with clients. It is typically a pleasant and low-stress environment where you can develop long-term relationships with both the client and their loved ones. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm and are closed for holidays, weekends and inclement weather such as snow. You will have the flexibility to create your schedule. We have Full time, Part time, and per Diem positions available.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Physical and finger print done within ninety (90) days of employment
- PPD/Chest x-ray within ninety (90) days of employment and yearly thereafter
- Current CPR
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
Responsibilities and Duties
- Continually assess the needs of the patient
- Document observations, care provided and patient’s responses
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and document accordingly
- Perform all nursing activities according to the policies and procedures of the institution. Confer with designated supervisor as needed
- Provide direct patient care and assistance when needed
- Perform nursing skills and procedures which are usual customary practice, as permitted by the Nurse Practice Act and for which the RN can demonstrate experience
- Ensure patient safety by maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- RN Nurse License, in good standing, to practice in SC
- Capable of evaluating the personal care aide in terms of his/her ability to carry out assigned duties and his/her ability to relate to the client.
- Ability to assume responsibility for in-service training for personal care sides by individual instruction, group meetings, and/or workshops.
