We administer rental assistance programs and offer a variety of housing-related programs and services that promote homeownership, educate renters and landlords, improve existing housing stock, and develop and manage affordable housing.

TITLE: Human Resources Assistant
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager
GRADE: 3 ($38K-$48 Annually) Full Time, 35 Hours per week
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Human Resources (HR) Assistant plays a vital role in supporting daily HR operations. Responsibilities include maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, managing administrative tasks such as scheduling interviews, posting jobs, preparing documents, and providing general support to the HR Manager and employees regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and payroll.
SUPERVISORY: None
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in a related field or associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school and two years of HR assistant or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS: The Human Resources Assistant will participate in a variety of HR projects. Exceptional computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and HR databases are essential for effectively managing HR functions. Strong interpersonal skills are required, along with outstanding organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Maintaining confidentiality is crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate must be professional and service-oriented. Knowledge of HR principles and practices, as well as experience with Paychex software, is a strong plus.
