For the upcoming 2026-27 academic year, Belmont Hill is seeking an Assistant Director of Admission for a full-time position as part of a dynamic Admission team. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Admission and is expected to be a positive self-starter and a committed team member.


Primary Admission Responsibilities:

  • Family Engagement & Recruitment: Attend school fairs, lead campus tours, and interview prospective families.
  • Evaluation & Selection: Read and review applications, and contribute meaningfully to an extensive, committee-based selection process.
  • Event Management: Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of major admission events, including Open Houses, revisit days, and information sessions.
  • Digital Marketing & Content Creation: Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to capture daily life at Belmont Hill. Help generate authentic content for admission-specific social media channels and digital platforms.

Broader Community Responsibilities:

  • In addition to the above list of primary responsibilities in the Admission Office, the ideal candidate will also contribute to the broader school community. Strong candidates should be able to impact school life through classroom teaching and/or coaching expertise. All candidates should demonstrate the capacity to serve as a student advisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for the School's mission.
  • Data & Tech Literacy: Proficiency with or a strong aptitude to learn school enrollment databases and CRMs (e.g., Ravenna, Veracross, Blackbaud), as well as standard office software (Google Workspace, MS Excel, Canva).
  • Marketing & Media Skills: Experience managing professional social media accounts, creating basic digital assets, or utilizing email marketing tools.
  • Cultural Competency: A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to connect authentically with families from wide-ranging backgrounds.
  • Operations & Time Management: Strong organizational abilities, effective time management, and the flexibility to balance seasonal admission peaks with afternoon school commitments.
  • Experience: Previous experience in independent school admission, higher education recruitment, or marketing/communications is preferred but not required.
  • Personal Traits: A genuine interest in a career in education, a collaborative spirit, and a good sense of humor.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000 per year. Final salary offer will be based on many variables including years of work experience, industry-specific experience, education level, etc. Belmont Hill salaries and benefits are excellent by both NAIS and regional standards and depend on prior school and work experience. Interested candidates should be available to start in August of 2026.
