What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Clerk position at Belmont County Water and Sewer District?
Job Duties:
Wait on customers in office. Go to courthouse, bank, and post office daily. Mail water/sewer bills at post office. Open mail. Balance checks and/or cash with stubs. Balance out cash drawer. Prepare nightly deposit. Take night deposit to bank daily. Enter payments in computer. Enter daily receipts on monthly cash statement. Prepare end of month balances for monthly pay-in. Transfer figures to accounts payable department. Take deposits and maintain guaranteed deposit fund. Transfer ACH payments to bank monthly. Answer phone. Answer customers’ inquiries on phone and in person. Prepare work orders. Schedule work orders. Prepare delinquent list. Prepare customers’ applications for water/sewer service. Scan applications and other materials related to department. Handle water permits. Make corrections to customers’ accounts, including debits/credits. Set-up ACH payments on customers’ accounts. Prepare checks for NSF on customers’ accounts. Perform back-ups on server and SSI updates. Assist distribution on radio. Maintain composure when dealing with the public. Assist management as needed. Work area must be in a neat and organized manner at all times. Desk area must be cleared at the end of the work day.
Additional Job Duties:
Performs other related duties as required. Overtime work when and if needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Education; computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word; valid driver’s license.
