Responsibilities
- Performs advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, control, and vision systems; uses PLCs and ladder logic to resolve machine control issues.
- Maintains strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, processes, and equipment across all areas.
- Follows company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Applies advanced troubleshooting skills, including in areas outside primary expertise.
- Provides direction and training to less experienced technicians.
- Partners with engineering to develop and execute process validations.
- Develops standards, tools, methods, and required documentation.
- Analyzes machine and process data to proactively address performance issues.
- Identifies trends and problems, recommending and supporting solutions.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance (OEE).
- Supports root cause investigations and implements solutions with engineering teams.
- Provides machine data to other engineering groups as needed.
- Serves as a lead, coach, and mentor to technicians and operators.
- Assists with new automation activities (design reviews, URS, PFMEA, FAT/SAT, DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ).
- May travel to supplier locations as required.
- May work alternate shifts and be on call as needed.
- Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical field.
- 5 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role.
- Experience with high-speed automation.
- Experience in a regulated (GMP/medical) environment preferred.
- Experience with fabrication of mechanical and electromechanical systems preferred.

Salary : $79,700 - $90,400
