Dietary Aide/Server

SUMMARY:Under the general direction of Dietary Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving the resident meals and the preparation of the dining room before meals and the cleanup duties after meals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Set up of the dining room tables for meal times, including: silverware, napkins, plates, salad bowls, ice water and other beverages.
2. Replenishing condiments. (Salt, pepper, sugars, cream, etc.)
3. Replenishing stock. (hand towels, soap, disposable products, snacks, juices, etc)
4. Plate resident meals.
5. Document individual meals served as required by supervisor.
6. Monitor and report any residents who are not present at mealtime.
7. Dining room and kitchen clean up after meals including:

• Disposing of paper products and uneaten foods, in a sanitary manner.
• Wiping down tables, chairs and condiment holders.
• Properly rinsing, washing and sanitizing place setting, silverware and cooking utensils.
• Vacuuming and or sweep and mop dining area.
• Mopping kitchen floor (after meal preparation and serving) and as needed.
• 8. Assisting with the preparation of menu items as directed by dietary supervisor/cook.9. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.10. Notes area or articles in need of repair and reports to maintenance, completing work order request forms as necessary.11. Notes the well-being or changes of residents on a daily bases and reports any changes or incidents to management.12. Other duties as needed or requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Basic homemaking and housekeeping skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret facility forms, signs and product instructions.
Ability to speak clearly and interpret verbal communication.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Sincere desire to work with the elderly.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
