What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concierge position at Belmar Oakland?
SUMMARY:Works under the general direction of the Administrative Manager for Belmar Oakland and in cooperation with other staff to meet the needs of the residents and their families. Primarily responsible for organizing and operating the front office, facilitating communications and facilitating good customer relations. Hours: Monday through Friday 9 am - 5 pm and every other Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 5 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains reception and lobby areas.
2. Answer telephones.
3. Greet guests and maintain sign out logs at reception desk.
4. Assures resident mail distribution per policy.
5. Maintains and orders office supplies and equipment.
6. Coordinates computer and technical support needed.
7. Orders snack and supplies from kitchen as needed.
8. Is available to residents and their families to answer questions and provide assistance.
9. Tracks all resident TB tests and notifies Nurse when annual tests are needed.
10. Creates New Resident Info Sheets, Chart Cover Sheet, Chart Spine, update information as acquired.
11. Maintain and update Outside Provider and Diabetic Listings.
12. Assemble and disassemble resident charts and emergency packets as required.
13. Update Emergency Procedure Books on all floors.
14. Schedule appointments for residents as needed: hair, transportation, doctor.
15. Coordinates appointments and meetings for Administrative Manager.
16. Coordinates resident socials in lobby area.
17. Performs other duties as needed or requested.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Office experience; familiar with computer programs; able to operate multi-line phone, copy machine and other office machines.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret facility forms, signs and product instructions. Ability to speak English clearly and interpret oral communication.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Sincere desire to work with the elderly.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, bend, stretch, pull, push or lift items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
