About the job
We’re looking for a dependable Dairy Department Manager to keep the department clean, organized, well stocked, and ready for customers. This is a hands-on role responsible for ordering, merchandising, inventory, product rotation, and supporting the dairy team.
What you’ll do
- Manage daily operations of the dairy department and help keep shelves and cases properly stocked.
- Order products based on sales, inventory, and customer needs.
- Receive and check deliveries, rotate products, and monitor dates to maintain freshness.
- Maintain proper product temperatures and follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Keep displays neat, products priced and labeled correctly, and backroom areas organized.
- Monitor inventory, product movement, and shrink; communicate issues and opportunities to store leadership.
- Train and support department employees, assign daily work, and help maintain appropriate coverage.
- Provide friendly customer service and respond to questions or concerns.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and merchandising standards.
What we’re looking for
- Grocery, dairy, retail, or related experience.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Dependability and willingness to work alongside the team.
- Availability to work a schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
