Overview
As a Technical Product Manager on the Technology team, you will combine product management, business analysis, systems analysis, and project management to deliver data capabilities that power Bellwether and our clients. Reporting to the SVP of Technology, you’ll partner with business leaders and client stakeholders to translate needs into technically sound solutions, design robust integrations and ETL patterns, and assist in leading multi-team execution. You will manage two direct reports (Business Analyst and Systems Analyst) and serve as the single point of accountability for assigned platform initiatives, including, but not limited to, a phased transitions from legacy systems to modern data platforms.

Candidates must be based in Dallas, TX. Relocation will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Partner with the SVP of Technology and business leaders to define and prioritize a multi-quarter roadmap for data platform initiatives.
- Align product priorities with client needs and business objectives; lead discovery and requirements definition to convert strategy into executable programs.
- Own backlog prioritization and trade-off decisions for assigned initiatives.
- Integration & Data Architecture Transition
- Assess and document current-state data flows, dependencies, and integration points across systems.
- Define future-state architecture for inbound/outbound client data flows (e.g., Salesforce, Databricks, Sigma, Tableau, SQL-based systems).
- Create phased transition plans that balance building new capabilities with sunsetting legacy systems while minimizing disruption.
- Collaborate with engineering to design, validate, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines, APIs, and monitoring/alerting patterns.
- Business Analysis & Process Mapping
- Lead discovery workshops and requirements sessions with business stakeholders and client-facing teams.
- Map end-to-end processes across finance, operations, and data teams; translate needs into user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Produce deliverables including current/future-state diagrams, data mappings, API/interface specs, and traceability matrices.
- Project & Program Leadership
- Drive end-to-end delivery across multiple client initiatives: manage plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Oversee BA/systems-analysis tasks (test plans, UAT support, cutover/rollback planning).
- Report status, risks, and tradeoffs to the SVP and business stakeholders; ensure a predictable delivery cadence.
- People Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop two direct reports (Business Analyst and Systems Analyst) — set priorities, review deliverables, provide feedback, and support career growth.
- Delegate and coordinate BA/systems-analysis work to ensure consistent, high-quality artifacts and timely progress.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, participate in performance reviews, and contribute to hiring decisions.
- Stakeholder & Client Alignment
- Serve as the single point of contact between technology, business leaders, and client stakeholders for assigned initiatives.
- Communicate strategy, progress, and decisions clearly to executives, product, engineering, and client teams.
- Balance competing priorities to maximize business and client value.
- Quality, Compliance & Operations
- Ensure delivered solutions meet data quality, security, and compliance requirements and include monitoring, validation, and rollback plans.
- Define acceptance criteria and validation procedures; own post-launch validation and iterative improvements.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Required
- 5 years in product management, business analysis, systems analysis, and/or technical program management with direct exposure to data platforms or enterprise integrations.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and system analysis.
- Proven ability to assess current-state vs. future-state architectures and build pragmatic transition plans that balance new builds with sunsetting legacy systems.
- Hands-on familiarity with ETL/data pipelines, APIs, integration patterns, and SQL-based systems.
- Practical experience with Databricks, Salesforce, Sigma, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in the financial sector with familiarity with finance data and reporting processes.
- Comfortable in small-to-mid-sized organizations (<500 employees) and used to wearing multiple hats.
- Strong project/program management skills — scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to bridge technology, business, and client-facing teams.
- Servant leader, collaborative team player with a positive attitude; detail-oriented critical thinker skilled in improving processes and navigating complex problems with ease.
- Preferred
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate or Asset Management.
- Familiarity with CRE/investment financial reporting processes and systems.
- Background in data governance, data quality, or master data management.
- Working knowledge in (AWS), SQL, Salesforce, and Tableau.
- Experience in or know of Sigma, Databricks, SelectStar, Prophecy, and Next.js.
- Experience in client-facing or fast-scaling environments.
Education/Certification
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field — required.
- Candidates with an MBA must also hold an undergraduate technical degree (as above) or demonstrate equivalent, verifiable hands-on technical experience (5 years) in data platforms, integrations, or engineering-facing roles. An MBA alone will not satisfy the minimum education requirement.
- Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMP/Agile, cloud/data platform certificates) are a plus.
