We are currently recruiting for a Temp to Perm Member Services Event Coordinator (Client Service) in NYC (Midtown). The position is a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office Tues, Wed & Thurs and 2 days remote - Mon & Fri). The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience providing support to a membership/customer services department, specifically with customer service, administration, and data maintenance in a corporate team. Standard business hours (35 hours weekly). This is a temp to perm opportunity starting ASAP. $23-27 per hour for temp period. (Perm 55K - 58K Base Benefits Package)
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to company’s broad membership / client base and exhibitors at events and via phone and email.
- Support an array of member needs, including administration (processing new memberships, renewals and live/virtual event registrations).
- Handle all e-mail and phone communications with members and non-members in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Answer inquires and find solutions related to events, registration, membership, and payment history.
- Process credit card, check and wire payments for membership dues and event registrations.
- Record booth, sponsorship, and lockbox payments and process membership transfers in the Dynamics system.
- Support accounting team with processing credit card, wire, and check refunds.
- Prepare accurate member reports and process updates to member records.
- Provide live event support, setting up and processing on-site member and event registrations.
- Train and supervise external on-site temporary event staff on registration policies and event procedures.
- Resolve requests, answer questions and promote company service offerings.
- Data maintenance (updating profiles, transferring memberships, creating new accounts/profiles, merging duplicate records and creating renewal invoices).
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- willingness to travel and be onsite for events supporting registration
- Experience with Customer Focus – building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
- Experience taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
- Interpersonal Savvy – relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
