Sales & Service Representative

Reports To: Member Service Manager or Branch Sales Manager
Position Summary
We're seeking a relationship-focused Sales & Service Representative to deliver exceptional member experiences while helping members achieve their financial goals. In this role, you'll balance teller transactions with consultative sales and service, proactively identifying opportunities to recommend products and services that meet members' needs. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for building lasting member relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process member financial transactions while maintaining strong cash handling and balancing practices.
- Provide outstanding service by answering member questions and resolving account-related concerns.
- Build and strengthen member relationships through proactive conversations, financial guidance, and outbound calling efforts.
- Recommend products and services that align with members' financial goals and contribute to membership growth.
- Meet individual and branch sales and referral goals with a focus on deposit products and member retention.
- Perform consumer loan and HELOC closings.
- Adapt to changing branch needs by supporting team operations and delivering an exceptional member experience.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial institution or related financial services environment.
- Working knowledge of banking products, services, regulations, and Safe Deposit Box procedures.
- Proven success in sales, referrals, or financial advising, preferably in a retail banking or credit union environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and educate members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve member concerns efficiently.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to achieving individual and branch goals.
