Job Title: Shipping Specialist

Job Description:

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for accurately pulling and preparing customer orders for shipment. This position operates in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment where attention to detail and accuracy are critical. The role also includes cross-training to back up the Shipping Lead as needed.

· Pull orders based on pick tickets and verify the accuracy of parts and quantities.

· Pack, palletize, and label shipments for outgoing orders.

· Verify order quantities, product selections, and shipping information before shipment

· Enter shipping details into company systems and update order statuses.

· Coordinate shipments with carriers and ensure compliance with shipping requirements

· Stage and organize orders for shipment and delivery

· Assist with inventory movement and warehouse organization

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, including routine sweeping and housekeeping duties

· Communicate effectively with warehouse, purchasing, customer support, and sales teams regarding shipment status and order needs

· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse best practices

· Assist with other shipping or warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse tasks throughout the workday in a non–air-conditioned warehouse environment.

· Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with shipping software.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

· Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution experience
• Experience using warehouse management, inventory, or shipping software
• Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
• Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Work Environment:

• Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment
• Experience using LTL carrier websites or freight booking portals.
• Exposure to varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
• Use of warehouse equipment, carts, pallet jacks, and shipping equipment
• Forklift certification or experience (a plus, not required).
