Hours are 9:00-6:00, Monday through Friday.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with toddlers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development, including play-based learning and social-emotional growth
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and safety
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
- Follow mandated reporting laws to document any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support individual developmental goals and classroom management strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or related safety training preferred but not required; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and social skills among toddlers
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children in a caring and professional manner
- Experience adhering to health regulations and mandated reporting laws related to child safety
