Science Teacher - BFUHS

Bellows Falls Union High School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to lead engaging Chemistry and Biology lab-based courses in our brand-new, state-of-the-art classroom and lab facilities beginning the 2025-2026 school year. This position is ideal for an educator who values hands-on learning, collaboration, laboratory safety experience, and fostering curiosity in the sciences. Responsibilities: -Teach Chemistry and Biology and various elective science courses to high school students, fostering critical thinking and scientific inquiry. -Develop and implement standards-aligned, engaging lesson plans. -Utilize our modern lab space to provide hands-on experiments and experiential learning opportunities. -Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. -Create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity. -Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success. -Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community. Qualifications: -Valid Vermont teaching certification in Chemistry (preferred); Biology or General certification. -Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). -Licensed in the state of Vermont State, Level II (preferred) -Passion for education, a commitment to student growth, and a collaborative spirit. Salary and benefits as per the Master Agreement between the WNESU Board and the WNESU Association.

Salary : $49,500 - $84,551
