Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative, clerical, office management, or related experience.
- Knowledge of Vermont education practices and school operations and/or experience working in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and standard office technology.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Experience with student information systems and electronic records management systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant to the High School Principal provides comprehensive administrative, clerical, and organizational support to the Principal and assists in the efficient operation of the high school office. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, staff, families, and community members and requires professionalism, discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the High School Principal and assist in the efficient operation of the principal's office.
- Manage the Principal's calendar, appointments, meetings, correspondence, and daily administrative activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, families, staff, community members, and visitors, responding to inquiries and directing communications appropriately.
- Prepare, proofread, maintain, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and other documents.
- Coordinate meetings, events, recognition programs, and special projects, including scheduling, logistics, and preparation of materials.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student, personnel, financial, and administrative records in compliance with district policies and applicable laws.
- Assist with student enrollment, withdrawals, records management, attendance, discipline and other administrative processes as assigned.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, budget-related documents, and other administrative transactions in accordance with district procedures.
- Support onboarding activities for new employees, substitute coordination, and other staff-related administrative functions as assigned.
- Maintain office supplies and office organization to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, students, families, and district personnel to support school programs, initiatives, and daily operations.
- Assist with emergency procedures, school safety protocols, and crisis response activities as directed.
- Prepare reports, data summaries, and other information requested by administration.
- Participate in professional development and training as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Salary : $46,000 - $60,000
