Position Summary
As the company continues to grow, we are looking to hire an HR Generalist who exemplifies our company core values of Passion, Respect, Growth, Compassion, and FUN! The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is eager to dive head first into all aspects of the HR world, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone eager to kickstart their career in HR within the manufacturing industry while receiving guidance and support from a tenured management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the established recruitment guidelines and direction of the HR Manager, proactively recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Administers new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Processes the company's bi-weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions. Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Administers quarterly 401k enrollment, coordinating informational meetings, answering participant questions, and ensuring all deductions are accurate in the payroll system.
- With the assistance and guidance of the HR Manger and the company's retro group, manages all LNI claims, striving for quick closure of claims and return to work of employees.
- Under the established guidelines and direction of the HR Manager, coordinates and attends all Safety Committee meetings, reporting action items, and the status of those action items.
- Reconciles monthly benefit statements, ensuring correct billing and payroll deductions.
- May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Administers the exit interview process and reports trends in attrition
- Assists the HR Manager in the development and execution of employee engagement and training initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.

PHR or SHRM-CP credentials required

At least 3 years of human resources experience and familiarity with payroll/benefits/and recruitment

Previous experience supporting HR in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.

Functional knowledge of HR principles and practices
