Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating vacuum trucks for various industrial and environmental services. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, knowledge of truck operations, and the ability to handle specialized equipment. The Vacuum Truck Operator plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and safe transportation and disposal of materials, supporting our commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Duties
- Operate vacuum trucks to perform industrial cleaning, waste removal, and environmental services
- Drive and maneuver trucks in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including routes taken and materials handled
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Assist with route planning to optimize efficiency and safety during daily operations
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials and operating heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with manual transmission experience preferred
- Prior experience operating tanker, dump truck, flatbed, refrigerated trailer, or roll-off truck is highly desirable
- Experience in truck driving, route driving, or freight delivery is beneficial
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Proven track record in safe truck driving and load & unload procedures
- Delivery driver experience or working with tractor-trailers is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety standards related to tanker operations and environmental regulations
