What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President position at Bellevue Talent Partners?
My client, a hands-on private equity firm, invests in mid-sized transportation and logistics companies. They are looking for a Vice President to act as a "deal lead" in a small, fast-paced team. This is a high-responsibility role for someone who can manage transactions independently and work closely with business owners.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Lead Deals: You will be the day-to-day manager for new investments. This includes overseeing financial modeling, managing lawyers and accountants, and negotiating terms.
- Strategic Thinking: You’ll research the logistics industry to find new investment trends and decide which companies are worth buying.
- Portfolio Management: After a deal closes, you’ll work directly with the company’s leadership to help them grow, set budgets, and improve operations.
- Sourcing: You will help find new deals by building relationships with bankers and industry contacts.
- Mentorship: You will manage and train the junior staff (Associates and Senior Associates).
Who They Are Looking For
- Experience: 5–8 years in Private Equity or Investment Banking.
- Skills: You must be an expert at complex financial modeling (LBOs) and be able to make smart decisions even when you don't have all the data.
- Mindset: You should have a "high ownership" attitude - meaning you take initiative and don't need constant hand-holding.
- Background: Ideally, you have experience with "lower middle-market" deals and founder-led companies. Experience in logistics or transportation is a big plus.
Salary : $185,000 - $200,000
