Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Maintenance Person to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of our boutique hotels. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional environment by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a fast-paced setting while providing exceptional customer service to residents or clients.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components
- Perform repairs involving welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general maintenance person tasks
- Troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and other diagnostic equipment to ensure system integrity
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Assist with supervising or coordinating work for subcontractors or junior team members when necessary
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to carry out complex repairs or installations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing or residential settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience and familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
- Capable of performing residential painting projects with attention to detail
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in maintenance teams or projects
- Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history
- Competency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
